Nigel Parry

Over a career spanning more than thirty years, Nigel Parry has become one of the most sought-after and respected portrait photographers in the world. Beginning in London in 1988, he relocated to New York City in 1994, where his work appeared in Vanity Fair, The New York Times Magazine and Esquire.His portraits have earned numerous accolades including the Hasselblad Master Photographer award, ASME Portrait Award, and features in Communication Arts and Graphis. His work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery and other major institutions, and he became the first portrait photographer invited to exhibit at the Cannes Film Festival.He is celebrated for his ability to direct, observe and reveal the essence of each subject, capturing both personality and story with precision and sensitivity. He has collaborated with organizations like the Starlight Foundation, documenting humanitarian missions. He resides in Charleston, South Carolina, where he continues creating portrait and landscape work.
